Highway to Heaven
Dear friend,
There are only two ways that a man can travel in this life. His own way which leads to destruction and the way of God which is by the Cross of Calvary through the shed blood of Jesus Christ his only begotten Son. The way of the cross is the only way to Heaven. Heaven is a place that the saints of God will enjoy for eternity with their blessed Redeemer, their Lord Jesus Christ. You may be wondering which road you are on. May I say to you that if you have to wonder or guess and if you have any doubt, you are probably not on the right path or the right "way".
The Bible says in Proverbs 14:12 that "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death". By death the Bible means eternal separation from God.
Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
So you can see that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.
My friend would you simply ask yourself and be honest with yourself before God. Are you born again? Are you Saved? Do you know without doubt that if you died this moment you would be able to enter heaven's gates?
God says in his Holy Word that you can be saved by doing the following:
1. You must admit that you are a sinner and have sinned before God.
By sinning you have missed the mark of God's expectations. His standards were too high for you to meet on your own.
Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one."
Romans 3:23 says, " For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
2. You must realize that there is a penalty for your sin.
Romans 6:23a says, " For the wages of sin is death"
The word "death" means separation. It means an eternal separation like the type found in Revelation 21:8.
Revelation 21:8 says, But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
3. You must realize that Christ paid the penalty of sin for you.
Romans 5:8 says, " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
4. You must acknowledge that Christ wants to give you the gift of eternal life.
Romans 6:23b says, "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
5. You must confess and believe in Christ and ask him to be your Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9,10 says, " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Dear Friend,
I trust that if you are not saved that you will pray right now and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and ask him to be the Lord of your life. After you do that I ask that you attend a good, fundamental, bible- believing church, and publicly confess Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:11 says, "For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
